POLL: Americans Happy With Trump Economic Policy
While the Trump administration has been quite far from receiving total approval of the American people — currently, a 58% disapproval rating, which is unusually low after just a few months in office — a recent poll shows that United States citizens generally have approved of the White House’s economic policies and plans.
The poll, conducted by Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research, showed that the current administration’s efforts economically was met with only a 48% disapproval rating and a 50% approval rating. This demonstrates a staunch difference in how the public view Trump’s economic efforts against efforts towards other reform. Almost 20% of those polled who disapproved of the administration’s overall performance still approve of his economic policies.
According to the poll, approximately 56% of the American population currently describe the national economy as ‘good’, a whopping 14% increase from polls conducted a year ago.
The approval rating of past presidents have been strongly related to the performance and perception of the economy. These poll results represent potentially positive forecast for the view of the American public on the future of the Trump administration.
